BBC Ouch!
Here me talking about being disabled in hospital on the BBC Ouch! podcast
http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p042z1f0
My blog was listed as one of 5 must read blogs about Special Needs by Tots
100
http://www.tots100.co.uk/2015/05/15/five-blogs-writing-about-children-with-additional-needs/
I have given several interviews for BBC TV and Radio on topics close to my heart from what having the support of a children's hospice means to our family to why it is wrong to take Disability Living Allowance away from children who are in hospital long term. My blog has also been featured on the BBC Ouch! website. I have also guest blogged for Mumsnet, Mencap & Carers UK.
My media work is focused on raising awareness of causes and issues I am committed to supporting especially; increasing guaranteed government funding for Children's Hospices, rights and respite for carers and ensuring children with SEN have the best possible education and life chances. I have given several talks to fundraisers and corporate sponsors on behalf of Together for Short Lives Charity and ShootingStar-Chase Hospice.
I have provided parent carer input to several organisational change groups at Great Ormond Street Hospital Foundation Trust and had the opportunity to meet with several MPs to lobby for the rights of parent carers as they negotiate the SEN system.
I have also been a guest columnist on the award winning Special Needs Jungle site and had articles published in SEN magazine.
